FilmForce: McGowan Joins Black Dahlia: "Rose McGowan Online has posted video clips from Rose McGowan's recent appearance on the U.K. version of MTV's Total Request Live wherein the Charmed actress revealed that she has filmed a role in Brian De Palma's The Black Dahlia.

McGowan advised MTV that director De Palma doesn't speak to anyone on the set but 'loved' her. They'd often talk about classic movies, she said.

And during her appearance on the Richard and Judy talk show, McGowan also spoke about Dahlia.'Its LA film noir shot in Bulgaria, that's Hollywood baby,' McGowan said. She did not, however, say what role she played in Dahlia.

McGowan will next be seen as Ann-Marget in the CBS miniseries Elvis."

FilmForce: Rose McGowan Talks Elvis: "The official site for the forthcoming CBS miniseries Elvis has been updated with three new video interviews with cast members Rose McGowan, Randy Quaid and Antonia Bernath.

Charmed star McGowan, who plays Hollywood starlet and Elvis love interest Ann-Margret, thinks that The King met his match with his Viva Las Vegas co-star. 'I can't say if she was the love of Elvis' life but I definitely think she was no shrinking violet,' said McGowan. 'I think she had a lot more equal footing as a woman than he was used to.'

British newcomer Bernath plays Elvis' wife, Priscilla. 'I think she was very much in love with him and she had to deal with the difficulty of being with someone of that sort of status.'

CNN.com - Commentary: The guilty pleasure of 'Charmed' - Apr 8, 2005: "Even potential moments of seriousness don't last too long. When the sisters are wounded, they just scream 'Leo!' and their personal 'whitelighter' magically appears, puts his hand over them, relieves all ailments and makes their clothing good as new.

Speaking of clothing, there's the main thing the show uses to draw in guys -- a steady stream of costumes so skimpy you realize the episodes were written just so the actresses would have to put them on. This week Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) is a mermaid! This week she's a leather-clad comic-book hero! This week she's topless on a horse! (Wondering what Phoebe was turned into in one episode, older sister Piper looked at her outfit and guessed 'a French hooker.')

To be fair, part of the reason I've gotten into 'Charmed' is that it is -- brace yourself -- surprisingly good. The actors do all they can to make this stuff believable and provide nuance.

Shannen Doherty made uber-responsible older sister Pru at least somewhat plausible until she left the show and Rose McGowan joined up as the lovable, secret, younger half-sister given away at birth. Holly Marie Combs, as Piper, is the show's solid foundation. And -- casting directors, pay attention -- Alyssa Milano can act. Mark my words: Someone will put her in a film, she'll astound the critics, and the movie will get major free publicity."
